Our French school

Located in North Curl Curl, just between St Luke’s Grammar School and Manly Selective High School, French Froggies Academy offers a welcoming and accessible learning environment.

Our school is dedicated to small group classes and private lessons where each child or adult receives individual attention, encouragement, and the space to thrive.

Our mission

Founded by Celine Herit, a passionate and qualified French teacher, French Froggies Academy was created with one purpose: to help children of all backgrounds find their voice in French – whether they’re just beginning or aiming for fluency. It’s a joy to hear our students proudly speak with their grandparents in French, or to see the confidence of a young student who once struggled now preparing for their HSC or DELF exams. For French-speaking families, we’re here to reassure you: your child can speak your mother tongue.

With the right support, environment, and encouragement, they will succeed.

At French Froggies, we welcome all levels – from complete beginners to native speakers – and create fun, dynamic lessons that build strong academic foundations. We also help francophone students deepen and refine their language skills to reach advanced academic standards in reading, writing, and expression.

In addition, our mission includes supporting adults who wish to refresh their high school French or learn the language later in life – whether for work, travel, cultural connection, or simply to keep their brain stimulated. Learning a language as an adult is a powerful cognitive workout: it boosts memory, improves focus, enhances creativity, and even delays cognitive decline.

Understanding bilingualism

At French Froggies Academy, we recognise that every bilingual journey is unique. Some children and adults may understand everything in French but hesitate to speak (receptive bilingualism), while others may switch easily between languages (balanced bilingualism).

We support all forms of bilingualism: our programs are tailored to meet students where they are and help them grow.
